I came visiting Clipse in iTunes for the old times, I stayed for the Sean-uh Paul, Bless & Kardinal Offishall sprinkled remix.
In case you were living under a rock in 2002, this was a hot track. But to my dismay, in trying to make a mix I discovered that it was not in my collection. *gasp* So although it is new to my library, it is definitely not new to my heart.
If you’ve never heard it and want to dabble in some turn-of-the-century hip-hop, this is a good one to hit. AND if you haven’t had the pleasure of checking out this Caribbea-licious remix, give it a whirl.
iTunes has this listed as Reggae, buuut I feel like I found this on YouTube learning more about dancehall. For all two of you who read my blog, yes, I am on a kick. It’s because I’m looking to diversify my ass-shakin’ section of my library and dancehall is squarely where it’s at. Like, if there was a club that was just dancehall and reggeaton I would be there every night.
Onwards, I don’t find Shenseea to be elite in the genre, but she is -consistent- …which is important sometimes. This is a bouncy little track that I enjoy.
Smino is a new fav. I cannot wait to catch ’em all. lalala
But in all seriousness. This is a nice little groove. I’m on a dancehall and hip-hop kick…so this is both. It has a really basic beat, but it’s so smooth.
